Until there is 1 million signatures Uwe Boll will continue to make movies!

Last April a petition was started to try and stop German filmmaker Dr. Uwe Boll from making further movies. Or as many would say, complete abominations of motion-picture films.

The last of his movies to get a large scale release was in 2007. It starred Jason Statham ,the English actor from early Guy Ritchie movies who now does martial arts action flicks. You remember that epic, "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale" don't you? It was a retarded version of Lord of the Rings with martial arts.

Somehow he was able to coax Ray Liota, Burt Reynolds, Claire Forlani, Ron Perlman, John Rhys-Davies, Leelee Sobieski and Kristanna Loken to participate. Safe to say the film was horrible and performed poorly at the box office ($4.7M). As with most of his films this was based on a video game, this one was Dungeon Siege. And as per usual the end product never resembles the original premise.

Well, cutting to the chase. A petition was started and the long and short of it is, if 1 million people sign said petition then Mr. Boll will cease to create motion-pictures. I'm sure there is/was a statue-of-limitations put into this, which I'm sure has passed but I would at least like to see the original goal achieved.

It should be an honour to create a motion-picture and if you ever have the chance and base it on something that by itself has a name, then you should respect that. Yes I can say that about many directors, but Uwe Boll's movies are all poorly thought out and then poorly made; whereas a Ron Howard or a Richard Donner are forgiven for making a poor representation of a blockbuster book - for Ron Howard it's books - due to the other solid movies they've created.
